Junuzovic to take captain's armband

Midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic will become the permanent captain of Werder Bremen as of next season. He has been serving as vice-captain to Clemens Fritz, but Fritz is retiring from football this summer. Head coach Alexander Nouri announced this in Tuesday’s press conference.

The second signing for next season has been confirmed: Jérome Gondorf is switching from Darmstadt 98 to Werder. Frank Baumann announced the news on Tuesday morning saying, “We’ve agreed a deal with the player and are expecting all parties to sign very soon,” said Baumann. Fritz named as Honorary Team Captain
