Warm reception

The Werder bus set off just after 18:00 CEST and later arrived at their idyllic hotel, where they will spend the next eight days for their training camp in Austria. The Green-Whites have signed China international Yuning Zhang on a two-year loan deal from English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion. Werder start the season in Hoffenheim

The match, which will take place on either 19th or 20th August, was announced by the Germany Football League (DFL) on Thursday alongside the full fixture list for the new season.
