Bitter Champions League Exit For Brave Bremen

A bitter end for Werder Bremen after a fantastic Champions League performance in Turin. The Green-Whites looked likely to re-write the history books, frustrating their hosts Juventus until the 88th minute when a horrible goalkeeping error allowed Emerson to make the scoreline 2:1 and send Werders faithful crashing back to earth after being on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Battling Bremen Bow Out Bravely

Brave Bremen bowed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night despite a 4:4 aggeragate score against Juventus. Thomas Schaaf's side had hung on for 88 minutes having gone ahead early but a 65th minute equaliser was added to by Emerson who pounced on a mistake by Werder keeper Tim Wiese.
