The game against VfL Bochum was not just frustrating due to the points that were dropped. The game was the conclusion of a week which held two defeats and severely dented the optimism of the Werder fans with a trip to take on Bayern Munich looming. Aaron Hunt pulls out of U21 tie

On Sunday evening, Aaron Hunt pulled out of the German U21 squad for their up-coming game. Trainer Thomas Schaaf made the announcement: "Due to the amount of strain he has been under having just returned from injury, Aaron suffered a muscular reaction and therefore we will be allowing him time to regenerate during this week."
