Borowski fit and motivated for Schalke

Torsten Frings returned to full team training with the rest of his Werder colleagues today: “I had some problems with my toe but it’s nothing major”, explained the midfielder following the session. Boenisch suffers injury blow

Full-back Sebastian Boenisch will be unavailable to Werder Bremen for at least two weeks. In training on Sunday, following the away win at Hertha BSC Berlin in the Bundesliga, the defender suffered a muscular tear to his right thigh: “During a race for the ball I broke into a sprint and then it snapped”, explained the bitterly disappointed 21 year.
