Baumann agrees three-year contract with Werder

Werder’s newly-appointed sporting director Frank Baumann and chairman of the supervisory board at the Green Whites, Marco Bode, have come to an agreement on a three year deal. Baumann signed a contract at the club until 30th June 2019, as confirmed by Bode on Monday. Frank Baumann must first be officially appointed by the board, before he can then be presented to the public on Friday.

With precision and diligence

It was a nerve-wracking season for Werder fans and, fortunately, there was a happy ending. The 2015/16 Bundesliga season was a busy one for the Green-Whites. 27 home goals were scored, a total of 686,846 spectators attended the games in the Weser Stadium and they rewarded with an impressive run of three straight victories to end the campaign.

Werder trio prepare for EURO

After successfully retaining our top-flight status, the season still isn’t over for several Werder players. Zlatko Junuzovic, Theo Gebre Selassie and László Kleinheisler have linked up with their national teams to prepare for this summer’s European Championship. Summer break begins
