Florian Kohfeldt: "It's all set up very interestingly this year. Since some regional cups haven't been decided, for obvious reasons, we have a draw without an opponent. Obviously, we know we will be heading east, which we're very happy about because Werder are well established there. We hope we will be able to play with at least some fans in attendance. We are the clear favourites, whoever we end up facing."
Frank Baumann: "It was a strange draw, as our opponents aren't confirmed. With Jena, I'm intrigued to see how they cope with relegation to the Regionalliga and Nordhausen are starting afresh in the Oberliga. It's definitely going to be interesting to see who follows Martinroda into the final and who we will end up facing. We're obviously clear favourites and we want to live up to that. In the past, we have always played well in Thuringia and had a lot of support. It would be even better to have fans with us."
Niklas Moisander: "We showed in recent years that we like to take the draw seriously and want to go as far as possible. That will be the case next season too. Our opponents may not be known yet, but we will approach the tie with focus and progress to the next round."
Davy Klaassen: "We're looking forward to the first game of the season, regardless of who it is against. We're clear favourites and have to win. I'm convinced we will reach the next round."
Niclas Füllkrug: "It's always interesting to play against lower league teams. They will definitely be really up for the game against a Bundesliga team. I'm really looking forward to it and intrigued to see who our final opponents will be. The cup is always an important competition, in which you can achieve a lot. As favourites, I hope we will come through the first round."
