Jan-Niklas Beste will spend the next two seasons at SSV Jahn Regensburg. The 21-year-old full back has joined the Bavarian second division club on loan. Frank Baumann confirmed the deal on Thursday morning.
"SSV Jahn Regensburg is a very well-run club that has established themselves in the 2. Bundesliga in recent years. We hope Jan-Niklas can gain lots of match practice there and return to us a better player," said Frank Baumann.
Jan-Niklas Beste arrived at the club in summer 2018 from Borussia Dortmund’s U19s. The former Germany youth international made 28 Regionalliga Nord appearances for the U23s in the 2018/19 season, scoring two goals and two assists. The 21-year-old spent the last season on loan at Dutch side FC Emmen, where he made nine appearances in the Eredivisie.
