Bad news for Werder Bremen: Tests conducted over the last few days have revealed that Milot Rashica picked up an adductor injury in the Bundesliga opener against Fortuna Düsseldorf. The 23-year-old Kosovan will therefore be unavailable for selection for a number of weeks.

Rashica is now the sixth player to be currently out with an injury. The away game in Sinsheim will also come too early for Ludwig Augustinsson. The full back is still training individually as he is yet to complete his rehabilitation from injury. Werder new boy Ömer Toprak, who made his first competitive appearance for the Green-Whites on Saturday against Fortuna Düsseldorf, will also undertake individual sessions. The new signing should return to full training at some point during the week.
Other notable absentees from Tuesday afternoon’s session were Joshua Sargent (rested), as well as Niclas Füllkrug and Claudio Pizarro, who both trained individually this morning. Long-term absentees Sebastian Langkamp, Philipp Bargfrede, Milos Veljkovic and Fin Bartels will need to continue to be patient.
