Jiri Pavlenka will play for the Czech Republic as they continue their search for European qualification. On Saturday, the Czechs will meet Kosovo at 15:00 CEST in a game that unfortunately won’t see Pavlenka go up against Werder teammate Milot Rashica, with the Kosovo forward still out due to injury. On Tuesday, the Czech Republic will then face Montenegro (10/09/2019, 20:45 CEST).
Johannes Eggestein will travel with the Germany U21s as they look to qualify for the U21 European Championship. Stefan Kuntz’s team have a friendly with Greece on Thursday (05/09/2019) before a qualifier against Wales.
Aiming for the same goal of European qualification, left back Marco Friedl will join up with the Austria U21 team for their games against Andorra on Thursday (18:00 CEST) and Albania the following Monday (09/09/2019, 16:00 CEST). Friedl is on standby for senior national selection.
Josh Sargent has been called up to the senior USA side for their friendlies against neighbours Mexico on Friday (06/09/2019) and then Uruguay on Tuesday (10/09/2019).
The final Werder player to be travelling with their national side will be Yuya Osako. The man who was at the double this weekend will play for Japan at the ‘KIRIN Challenge Cup 2019’ against Paraguay on Thursday (05/09/2019). A World Cup qualifier against Myanmar then awaits the ‘Samurai Blue’ on Tuesday (10/09/2019).
