Boubacar Barry has signed a contract extension with SV Werder Bremen and will head out on loan for the 2019/20 season at 3. Liga side KFC Uerdingen.
“After missing the first half of last season due to a serious injury, Boubacar gathered regular match time over the course of the last six months in our U23s side. The loan move to Uerdingen is now the right move for him. He was already able to show his huge potential in a high quality league during his time at Karlsruher SC where he played in Bundesliga 2,” said Werder sporting director Frank Baumann on Tuesday afternoon.
Boubacar Barry joined SV Werder Bremen from Karlsruher SC in 2017 and he has gone on to make six appearances for the Green-Whites’ U23s side in the 3. Liga. The midfielder also scored twice in ten Regionalliga appearances last season.
