After a tough away match against Frankfurt, Werder Bremen start their next week of training on Wednesday afternoon. Davy Klaasen and Milos Veljkovic, who were given an extra day of rest by Head Coach Florian Kohfeldt, won't be out on the pitch. Claudio Pizarro will also be absent from Wednesday's session, and will not be available to the green-and-white in the coming days either.

Pizarro, who did not play in Frankfurt on Sunday, won't take part in team training sessions due to a knock he has picked up to his knee. The same goes for central defenders Niklas Moisander and Ömer Toprak, who are training individually and will not play in Friday's friendly against FC St Pauli.

Florian Kohfeldt will call upon players from Werder's U21s and U19s to fill the training squad, which has been greatly reduced by the amount of players away on international duty. Alongside Luc Ihorst and Louis Poznanski from Werder Bremen II, Maik Nawrocki, Kyu-Hyun Park and Eren Dincki from the U19s will also train with the first team.
