Frank Baumann: “We’re not unhappy getting a 1-1 draw in Wolfsburg. We didn’t get it right today with keeping the ball ourselves. We didn’t create enough chances, then it’s often a set piece that shapes the game. After that we were better and got ourselves a point. Both sides earned the draw in the end.
Florian Kohfeldt: “I think it’s one of the most difficult away games that we’ve had recently. Wolfsburg are very hard to beat and when they get room, it’s difficult to defend against. I was pleased with how we played without the ball, but we weren’t bold enough with the ball. That wasn’t very good. A draw is the fair result in the end.”
Max Kruse: “The way the game went, a draw after 90 minutes is okay. We showed more courage in the second half and we trusted ourselves more. We really woke up after we conceded. We were more attacking and changed the system. We deserved to get back on terms and we’re happy to get the point.
Philipp Bargfrede: “We are happy to have earned a point. The problem was that we didn’t do enough with our possession today. We weren’t clinical enough in our attacking play. Going behind was a signal of that but we then managed to put Wolfsburg under pressure. However at the end of the day, a point is not what we had imagined.”
Davy Klaassen: “It was a very stop-start game, with the whistle being blown a lot. We can’t be pleased with our performance in the first 60 minutes, but we were better after the hour mark.”
