“In recent years, Tim has done a very good job across multiple positions and has always played an active role in helping the club. We would like to thank him for all his hard work and wish him all the best of luck for his new role from next season,” said Green-Whites sporting director Frank Baumann.
“Naturally, this decision to leave Werder Bremen hasn’t been easy. Werder have become a club very close to my heart during the time in which I have worked here. I would like to thank everyone for their faithful cooperation with me, especially Frank Baumann. I’m now excited for a new adventure and opportunity in exciting surroundings at Bayer Leverkusen,” said Tim Steidten, who spent ten years with the Green-Whites as a player in various youth teams. Steidten has also been an active member of the club’s scouting team for twelve years.
