Werder Bremen lost 3-2 to FC Bayern in the DFB-Pokal semi-final. The first half was the least eventful of the two, with just the one goal as Lewandowski put Bayern ahead (36’). The visitors scored another through Thomas Müller in the 63rd minute and looked to be on their way to the final, but Werder had other ideas. Yuya Osako got one back in the 74th minute before Milot Rashica equalised one minute later. Theo Gebre Selassie was adjudged to have brought down Kingsley Coman in the 80th minute and Bayern scored the resulting penalty, again through Lewandowski. Werder couldn’t find another equaliser and are out of the cup.

Line-up and formation: Florian Kohfeldt made one change from the game against FC Bayern at the weekend, with Yuya Osako coming in for the suspended Nuri Sahin.
