Florian Kohfeldt: "We were a notch better than in the first half of the seson and we definitely would have deserved a win today. We dominated a team that won all six games in the Europa League and have an average of more than two points per game. My team deserve respect for creating so many chances against a team like that. If we weren't creating such clear chances, it would be a problem. But we're still learning and I hope we will continue to do so quickly. We are staying calm, at some point things will fall inot place and we'll have a big win. But today it wasn't enough for the win and I'm not happy about that."
Max Kruse: "We didn't achieve what we had set out to. We can only be partially satisfied because we squandered too many chances. It doesn't interest me that we had our oppoents against the ropes or how well we played, because we didn't win in the end."
Philipp Bargfrede: "I think that was an attractive and exciting game, hard-fought with plenty of chances. We played a good game, but should have won. The goals we conceded were unfortunate and we wasted too many chances going forward. It was enough in Hannover, but not today. A win against a direct opponent for Europa League would have been important, which is why we are disappointed."
Maxi Eggestein: "It was a good effort from us today and a good game. It was to and fro in the second half. At the end of the day we were better, created more chances and we had to win the game."
Niklas Moisander: “I think we saw two good teams today. Our tactic to press early on was good, and Frankfurt couldn’t get into the game for a while. We had a lot of chances. If we want to get into Europe, we have to win these games.”
Johannes Eggestein: “Overall, we had a very good game. We had a lot of chances that we didn’t take again. In the end, we’re annoyed about how easy the goals we let in were. It was a good shot from Ante Rebic, but we shouldn’t have defended it earlier.”
