First promoted, then champion and then relegation? This was the destiny of FC Changchun Yatai, SV Werder's third test match opponent of the summer preparations on Wednesday 2 July 2014. After the comfortable first two victories over Tündern (6-1) and Oldenburg (11-1), the Green-Whites will be taking on the Chinese top flight team during their WERDER CHINA TOUR 2014. Kick-off of the match is 1:30 p.m. Bremen time (7:30 p.m. local time). The match can be seen live on WERDER.TV for all subscribers.

While the Green-Whites are still at the beginning of their season preparations, Changchun have completed the first half of the 2014 season. Since the Chinese Super League is completed within a calendar year, the team played their final first half match in June. The team from the Jilin province in northeastern China has collected 15 points from 14 of 30 match days for 11th place in the 16-team league.

Raphael Wolf and Fin Bartels are looking forward to the match against FC Changchun Yatai.

After promotion in 2005, Changchun finished fourth in their first season in the top flight. The club's biggest success followed a year later as they won the championship with 55 points from 28 matches. Werder Bremen are looking forward to an exciting match against Changchun Yatai.

All Werder fans in China have the chance to keep up to date with latest Bremen news on the Chinese networks Tencent Weibo and Sina Weibo.
