In the second test match of Werder's preparations in 2014-15, the Green-Whites took on VfL Oldenburg at Marschweg Stadium and proved they are in good early form. Despite conceding an early goal, Robin Dutt's team collected a dominant 11-1 victory as Petersen, Di Santo and Selke all scored twice. The other Werder goals were scored by Caldirola, Aycicek, Kobylanski and Hüsing while Oldenburg's Blödorn scored an own goal.

Reaction to the match

Robin Dutt: "Altogether, we did a very good job today. Offensively I think it was relatively good while defensively things can certainly be a bit better."

Nils Petersen: "The 11-1 was a good experience. I was aggravated about giving up a goal but at least we were very effective offensively. We could have scored even more goals, but you have to think that we also played against an Oberliga team. That today we quite a bit better than in the first test match."
