SV Werder Bremen collected a strong test match victory against third division side Osnabrück to head into the Bundesliga-free weekend. Markus Rosenberg (9th minute), Wesley (25th) and Sandro Wagner (29th) scored the goals in Werder's 3-0 win at the TimePartner Arena in Cloppenburg. "It was a good, intensive match with some nice passing combinations, especially in the first half. In the second half we didn't have the same timing as before when you could see what it looks like when you work together every day. Altogether, all the players played well and everyone used the chance to showcase themselves," said head coach Thomas Schaaf, who also praised the opponents. "The fact that such a good match was possible also depended on the performance of Osnabrück. They played motivated and always looked to push forward. I wish them a successful season."
