SV Werder Bremen won their second match of the 2012 "post-season" as head coach Thomas Schaaf's team beat a selection from Vechta 5-0 (1-0) in Lohne. The goals were scored by Denni Avdic, Lennart Thy and Florian Trinks while Tom Trybull tallied twice.
The Green-Whites were close to scoring the first time in the eighth minute on a free kick by Naldo that went just over the bar. The Brazilian was the one who helped give Werder the lead in front of 4,328 spectators at Heinz Dettmar Stadium in Lohne. After a fine solo action, Naldo passed to Avdic, who scored to make it 1-0 in the 16th minute. And that was the halftime score.
Schaaf made a number of changes for the second half and Werder finally really took over the match later on. Thy, who came in for Avdic at the break, scored into the lower left corner to make it 2-0 in the 70th minute. Trybull made it 3-0 after 72 minutes after which Trinks struck in the 85th for a 4-0 lead. And Trybull hit a second goal after 88 minutes for the final 5-0 result.
