SV Werder Bremen also won their third game of the "post season" as the Green-Whites beat FC Eintracht Cuxhaven 01 7-1 (5-1) in the final appearance by Claudio Pizarro. The Peruvian scored twice in the victory. Denni Avdic also hit for two goals while Marko Arnautovic, Aaron Hunt and Lennart Thy tallied the other goals for SV Werder. Gonzales-Montes from Cuxhaven scored to make it 4-1.

"We didn't have a lot of space to pass the ball, but altogether we did a good job. For the spectators it was also a nice game because they got to see a lot of goals," said head coach Thomas Schaaf. "We are always happy when we can play in the Werder region and make so many people happy. I think that was the case today, it was an interesting match," added manager Klaus Allofs about the final match of the 2011-12 season.
