Two matches, two victories, six points and zero goals conceded! SV Werder's start to the season could hardly have been any better. That gives the Green-Whites plenty of reason to be confident going into their match Friday night (kick-off at 8:30 p.m.) at Borussia Dortmund. There will also be about 7,000 Werder fans among the 80,000 spectators at Signal Iduna Park. WERDER.DE compiled the most important facts ahead of the match at Dortmund.
Did you know ...
... that the current table constellation promises a real top match-up? Werder and Dortmund have both collected a maximum six points thus far. Both teams beat Braunschweig and are in first place (Dortmund) and fifth place (Bremen) in the current table.
... that Werder are the only Bundesliga team to not have conceded a goal thus far? Sebastian Mielitz has kept his goal clean for a full 180 minutes. Werder are the only current Bundesliga team without a goal allowed this season but it's the first time since 2010 that they started a season without giving up a goal in the first two matches.

... that Bremen would set a new record to start a season with another victory? Werder have never started a season with three Bundesliga victories.
... that two Dortmund players will especially be in the focus for Werder? There will be a reunion with former Green-Whites defender Sokratis, who made his starting debut with Dortmund last weekend. He made 59 appearances for Bremen and scored two goals. Dortmund's new acquisition Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will also receive plenty of attention as he has scored half of Dortmund's goals this season (three of six scores).
... that head coach Robin Dutt has high, but realistic hopes in Dortmund? "Despite the six points, the season will of course be very difficult. In Dortmund, now we will be facing a real big opponent. We have the necessary voracity for another success. But everything must work right on Friday. I just hope that we can keep Dortmund busy for 90 minutes. I don't have anything against 1-0 victories - also not one against Dortmund."
