Two goals, two leads - but Werder Bremen still ended up losing as the Green-Whites fell 5-2 after an entertaining 90 minutes at the sold-out Allianz Arena. Theodor Gebre Selassie gave Bremen a great start with the lead in the 10th minute. Franck Ribery equalised 1-1 in the 20th minute before Aaron Hunt made it 2-1 in the 36th minute. The German champions increased the pressure after the break as former Werder star Claudio Pizarro scored two quick goals (53rd/57th) to turn the game around before Bastian Schweinsteiger (60th) and Arjen Robben (74th) completed the 5-2 victory.
Line-up and formation: After the strong 3-1 win over Hoffenheim, Zlatko Junuzovic returned from his yellow card suspension into the starting line-up for Eljero Elia. Head coach Robin Dutt played Junuzovic and Philipp Bargfrede in front of the four-man back line while Hunt and Franco Di Santo formed a double striker attack.
