Bayern Munich still have high hopes of reaching the UEFA Champions League final after beating Real Madrid 2-1 at home in the first leg of the semi-finals. But before the return leg, Bayern must travel to Bremen to take on Werder at Weser Stadium. And even though Munich hardly have a chance to win the German league crown, Green-Whites head coach Thomas Schaaf expects to face a very motivated Bayern side. "It doesn't matter if Bayern come here with a B, C or Y team. We will face a strong team," said the Bremen coach.
Schaaf said even if players who do not normally play face off against his team they will be very motivated as they hope to get a call for an appearance in Madrid. "I believe that every Bayern player would like to play next Wednesday (in the Champions League return leg)," said Schaaf.

No North-South summit but a "very interesting match"
While Bayern could still delay Dortmund's clinching the championship with a victory, Werder could desperately use the three points in the fight for the Europa League spots. Schaaf did not say if Aaron Hunt or Marko Arnautovic would be available for the match, though he did sound optimistic since their return to training. "But we have wait and see. We have to realise that they are missing the game practice," said Schaaf.
Regardless of who is on the pitch on Saturday, Werder's coach is convinced that his team can beat the favourites from Munich. It's all about what happens on the pitch, said Schaaf. And even though the table standings do not lend themselves to call the match a North-South Summit, Schaaf promised "a very interesting Bundesliga match to which everyone can look forward."
