Favre celebrated a perfect start as his new team was able to beat Hoffenheim 2-0 at home. But Favre was quick to ease the wave of relief. "We shouldn't go overboard. Our performance was not that good against Schalke, but okay. In Wolfsburg we were not that good and nearly could have gotten a draw in the end. We played pretty well against Hoffenheim," he said in an interview with WERDER.de. What the last placed team really has to prove so that the recent points aren't for naught is consistency. And Max Eberls looked in this direction on borussia.de: "We have to try to get a grip on the fluctuations in our game. Then we can take with us something from the up-coming game in Bremen."
The Green-Whites meanwhile will try their best to avoid that and have confidence from their last game in Freiburg. "We had more conviction in our game again. We have played stronger and more dangerous in the past couple weeks," said Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf. "I hope that we can continue that trend." The coach said his team will have to deal with a side that will not play "totally offensive", hoping more to push forward in the counter attack from their secured defence. That means, Schaaf said: "We will have to force the play - which is what we expect from ourselves anyhow."
