The schedule is packed for Werder's players. After their arrival in Zillertal, the first training session in Austria was planned for the early evening. The Green-Whites internationals were on hand as well as the two new acquisitions Luca Caldirola and Cedrick Makiadi. It was the first training for both of the players with their new team-mates.
"I was really accepted tremendously in the team. They are all young, open players," was the first impression of Makiadi. "Training was naturally pretty tough because I haven't played in a while after an injury from last season. Altogether, it was fun and I could already sense some good style approaches."
Caldirola also said he was satisfied. "I had about three weeks of holidays and was really looking forward to football again. I am a bit tired right now but the training really was fun. We have a fun, very good team with lots of nice people," said Caldirola.
Özkan Yildirim is also looking forward to the coming days. The youngster trained again individually on Sunday after the interior ligament knee strain he suffered during the training camp on Norderney. And he hopes for a quick return to his circle of team-mates. "Today I completed a program on the bike but I am confident that I will work out again with the team in Zillertal," said Yildirim. Cimo Röcker also went through an individual session as he fights off slight muscular problems.
