Youngster Luca Zander returned to Werder team training Sunday afternoon as he overcame his long-term knee problems to take part in the first session under the new coach Viktro Skripnik. The 19-year-old completed the full program with the Green-Whites after intensive rehab work with the club's medical department.
"It felt great to take part in full. I didn't have any pain and am confident that I will stay that way," Zander told WERDER.DE. "I did go through parts of the training Sunday after the Bayern match but that was an easy training the day after a match. Today was the first real test."
