The hard-fought point against Eintracht Frankfurt seemed to after effect on SV Werder on Monday. Not only will the suspended Felix Kroos and Luca Caldirola miss the Green-Whites' 100th North Derby against Hamburg on Saturday but Aleksandar Ignjovski is also out. "Iggy has an effusion in his ankle. We will see this week if he will miss just one match or even longer," said head coach Robin Dutt.
That means the Bremen coach will be without three defenders for the anniversary match. "Of course this is going to be really tough. We will be missing three-quarters of the four-man backline with which I was very satisfied the last two matches," said Dutt.
The coach was more optimistic about two other important players - Aaron Hunt and Clemens Fritz. "Aaron will hopefully train fully all week. If that's the case then I am confident that he can play as well. And Clemens will decide on his own. But I assume that he will give me the signal that he is ready on the weekend. Whether or not he will start after the long injury break, we'll have to wait and see," added Dutt.
