The sports court of the German Football Federation (DFB) on Monday afternoon announced a three-game suspension of Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese. The court suspended the 29-year-old Wiese according to § 8 No. 1b) of the DFB's code of procedures for reckless play. Wiese and Werder Bremen have accepted the ruling, putting it into effect. Wiese was shown off with a red card by referee Thorsten Kinhöfer after fouling Bayern's Thomas Müller outside the area in the 88th minute of Saturday's game. "The situation naturally doesn't look good. But there was absolutely no intention and I did not want to hurt anybody," the German international said.
