Wesley overcame his muscle injury to return to Werder's team training on Wednesday, moving freely across the pitch. And of course head coach Thomas Schaaf was happy about that. But whether Wesley can be an option for the game this weekend at Freiburg will have to be decided in the coming days. "We have to take into account certain things and wait to see how he looks in the next training sessions," said Schaaf.

Also back at training was Tim Borowski after the 30-year-old collided with teammate Dominik Schmidt in the game against Bayer Leverkusen and needed to be taken out with a slight concussion. But ‘Boro' was back with the team on Wednesday without any pain.

Hunt and Schmidt leave early

For Aaron Hunt, the morning training session lasted only about half an hour as the 24-year-old felt pain in his adductors and could not continue training. Schaaf said after the afternoon session that Hunt may have suffered a slight strain. Dominik Schmidt meanwhile could not finish the afternoon session with the defender hooking legs with Sebastian Prödl in a challenge and having to leave early with pain in his right ankle.
