Last season the 20-year-old was on loan to 1860 Munich.Aleksandar Ignjovski is joining Werder Bremen as the transfer of the 20-year-old Serbian is locked up for good0. Ignjovski, who was on loan last season with 1860 Munich, comes to Werder from OFK Belgrade and signed a contract until 2014. Neither side released details of the move. The Serbian already trained with his new team in the afternoon. And Werder manager Klaus Allofs was satisfied with the personnel move. "We are happy that we could make the transfer happen. In Aleksandar, we get a young, talented player who can play both of outside defender positions as well as the defensive midfield and thereby increase our possibilities, also looking into the future," said Allofs.
Ignjovski freut is looking forward to his new challenge. "I said to myself early on that I would like to transfer to Werder Bremen. Now that it has worked out I am very happy," he said after his first practice session with his new teammates. "I would like to continue to develop here and hope I can help the team."
