When the European Championship 2012 in Poland and Ukraine starts on Friday, four Werder players have the chance to have an influence on the tournament as a player. Sokratis, Sebastian Boenisch, Tim Wiese and Markus Rosenberg will be fighting for the title with their respective national teams. But Green-Whites are also active at the Euro 2012 away from the pitch, accompanying the tournament as specialists for television, radio and newspapers.

Honorary captain Frank Baumann is on hand in the first weeks of the tournament with Radio Bremen, as he will analyze every game for the German national team. His start is on Monday 11 June 2012 at 8:30 p.m.

Werder defender Sebastian Prödl was unable to qualify for the tournament with the Austrian national team. But he will write about the European Championship as he will accompany the German group for the Austrian daily Kleinen Zeitung.

U17 head coach Viktor Skripnik is travelling to the Euro 2012 in his homeland active with the Ukrainian national team. Skripnik will answer questions for VIP guests during the opening match of the co-hosts on Monday 11 June 2012 against Sweden and at the final group match on Tuesday 19 June 2012 against England. When Ukraine take on France on Friday 15 June 2012, the Werder coach will appear in Ukrainian television as football expert. He will analyse the game along with Oleg Salenko - 1994 World Cup scoring champion - for the Inter TV station.

Of course, Green-Whites experts will regularly comment on and analyse the tournament for WERDER.DE.
