The German U19 juniors with the Werder trio Florian Hartherz, Tom Trybull and Niclas Füllkrug extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches with a 2-1 victory over Egypt in front of 7,900 spectators in Pirmasens in the first of two matches against the Africans. The second match takes place on Sunday at 11 a.m. in Dillingen.

After a scoreless first half, striker Shawn Parker from Mainz opened the scoring for Germany in the 55th minute. The North Africans equalised after 67 minutes through Mohammed Mahgoub but the substitute Gerrit Wegkamp from Osnabrück made it 2-1 in the 89th minute for Germany's fifth win in seven matches.
