Werder midfielder Tom Trybull will undergo an ankle operation on his right foot on Wednesday as the 20-year-old will have some loose bodies removed during the procedure.
The surgery will be done by specialist Dr. Ludwig Seebauer in Munich-Bogenhausen. "It's really just a routine procedure which hopefully will clear up my pain," said Trybull shortly after his arrival in Munich, where he will likely stay until the end of the week.
It's questionable if he will be able to return to action again this season. "Of course it's my goal to return to the pitch as quickly as possible. But I know that it will be tight," said Trybull, who had worked his way back into the team after a long injury break. He started four matches in a row before missing the Düsseldorf contest with an injury.
