SV Werder's match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth will be a reunion with Florian Trinks. The 21-year-old transferred in the winter break from Bremen to Fürth, and after 6.5 years with SVW he makes his return to Weser Stadium for the first time as an opponent.
Hello Flo, you have been hampered with the flu for the last couple of weeks. Are you back to full health again?
Florian Trinks: "Yeah, I'm doing pretty good again. I have gotten over the flu, though there is still a little cold. I am in the forest right now with my dog - the fresh air does me good (laughs)."
Your departure from Werder was only a few weeks ago. Back then, you said you're leaving with a smile and a tear in your eye. Has the crying eye since dried up?
Florian Trinks: "In my heart I am a Bremen man. Everyone knows that. I stand by that and that will not change so quickly. I follow closely how Werder are developing and cross my fingers for the team. But still, it was exactly the right step for me. This here is good for me."
What feelings would you have coming back to Bremen?
Florian Trinks: "It would be a return home. I would be happy to see my family and my friends, my old teammates, the team behind the team, the stadium. There is a lot there that I would look forward to seeing."
Your team is in last place but certainly are not coming to Bremen to just give away the points ...
Florian Trinks: "Of course not. We want to end the season as good as possible and pick up as many points as possible. That's why we're going into the game to bring home at least something."
