Tom Trybull is leaving SV Werder Bremen with immediate effect and joining second division side FC St. Pauli. "Tom expressed the desire to leave in the winter because he wanted to get more game experience. We could not guarantee him that so both parties agreed that a transfer makes the most sense," said Werder's sports manager Thomas Eichin about the transfer of the midfielder, whose contract was due to expire in the summer.

That means Trybull will not be on hand for Werder's start of training on Monday 06 January 2014. The Berlin native transferred from Hansa Rostock to the Green-Whites in the summer of 2011. Trybull played 21 Bundesliga matches for Werder as well as 30 matches for the second team. Neither team released details about a transfer fee.
