FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt will offer more details about Werder's stay at a press conference on Monday 30 May 2011 at 11 a.m. at Steigerwald Stadium. Werder will be represented by honorary captain Frank Baumann.
The stay will be extra special for one Werder player as Clemens Fritz returns to his home city with Werder. He played with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt from 1988 to 2001 save for a two-year stop with the former VfB Leipzig. It is the second test match for Werder in Erfurt as Fritz's team won 5-2 in front of 15,000 spectators on 19 January 2007.
On the way back to Bremen, Werder will make a stop at Chemnitzer FC with a test match against the promoted side into the third division on 14 July 2011, which will be presented by Werder partner Volkswagen. Afterwards head coach Thomas Schaaf's team will return to the Weser.
