The test match at SV Wilhelmshaven was the final official action of the Bundesliga team for the 2010-11 season as the players, coaching staff and club staff headed for their holidays after the final whistle. Before the players headed out across the world, head coach Thomas Schaaf handed out individual training plans as the players are expected to return having done some physical activity going into the preparation for the new season.
The players will start work for the 2011-12 season on Wednesday 29 June 2011 at 10 a.m. as Schaaf announced Thursday evening. There will be a couple days of training at Weser Stadium before the team heads to training camps at Norderney, Erfurt and Donaueschingen.

Tues. 12 July 2011: Travel to training camp in Erfurt
Tues. 12 July 2011: Test match against FC Rot-Weiß, Steigerwald Stadium Erfurt
Thurs. 14 July 2011: Return from training camp in Erfurt
Thurs. 14 July 2011: Test match against Chemnitzer FC Stadion an der Gellerstraße grounds in Chemnitz
Sun. 17 July 2011: Travel to training camp in Donaueschingen
Sat. 23 July 2011: Return from training camp in Donaueschingen
