Tuesday was a pretty packed day for the Werder players! Besides two intensive training sessions, a handful of players also had another appointment - a photo shooting for Roy Robson, the Green-Whites' fashion partner. One of the models was Luca Zander. While the youngster spent this "session" among his teammates Felix Kroos, Assani Lukimya, Fin Bartels und Davie Selke, he still needs to have patience on the sports side because of knee problems.
"I am making clear steps, I have been receiving very good medical treatment and working very intensively behind the scenes - mostly in the weight room - on my return to the training grounds," the 19-year-old full back told WERDER.DE at the photo shooting. "I do not know exactly when I will be able to train on the pitch again but I am also not putting myself under pressure time-wise. I have the necessary patience."
Theodor Gebre Selassie also needs a bit more patience at the moment though the Czech international did run some laps around the pitch on Sunday and continues to make steps forward early on in the week. The 27-year-old completed parts of training with the team on Tuesday. Marnon Busch meanwhile ran laps to start the training week individually with athletics coach Reinhard Schnittker. The 19-year-old, who scored his first Bundesliga goal last Saturday in Wolfsburg, is dealing with muscular problems.
