Even though Friday's training session was held behind closed doors, there were some important personnel questions to answer at the obligatory press conference Friday afternoon. It was announced that Aleksandar Ignjovski, Tom Trybull and Lukas Schmitz will not be available against Nuremberg though Zlatko Junuzovic could return to the game squad.
"Aleks Ignjovski injured a muscle in his calf in training on Wednesday and will most likely not play," said head coach Robin Dutt at the press conference. The reasons for Schmitz and Trybull missing the game however were fortunately not because of an injury. "Tom and Lukas will be testing for the first time Friday night with the second team and will not be available to the first team."
Luckily, the 48-year-old could call upon the midfield motor Junuzovic. "Zladdi has taken part in team training all week. It looks really good. I assume and am pretty sure that Zladdi will be in the squad again," said Dutt. The coach would not say if Junuzovic would be in the starting line-up. "With Felix Kroos, Mehmet Ekici and Zlatko Junuzovic, we have three alternatives who can replace the injury ‘Iggy'."
