Head coach Thomas Schaaf can once again make plans with Florian Hartherz as the youngster returned to team training on Tuesday. And the session went really well for the defender. "Everything was okay. I didn't have any pain," said Hartherz after the training. "I have the feeling that I have worked my way into the team really well."
The 18-year-old fell on his shoulder in the final training before the away match against Stuttgart and was out of action. "I had to rest it one and a half weeks then I could return to running training. I first had to get used to freely moving my arm again. That was unusual," said Hartherz.
Striker Claudio Pizarro did not train with the team on Tuesday. "‘Piza' is kind of sick. It's more a precautionary measure that he wasn't there today," said Schaaf. Aleksandar Ignjovski and Philipp Bargfrede also could not train with the team. "We have to wait a couple days there," said Schaaf.
Ignjovski himself was able to offer up some more exact information. "I still have problems with the ankle. At the moment I am in running training and riding the bike," said ‘Iggy'. "We will test the burden a bit more and then see how it goes. But I hope that I can be back with the team on Thursday."
