Aaron Hunt has recovered from his Achilles tendon problems and the deputy captain finally returned to team training Tuesday morning after missing the first few days of the training camp in Blankenhain.
"The last couple days I had a rehab program of bike riding and swimming, but now everything is okay again," said Hunt after the session. Hunt also said he was ready to play in the test match against RB Leipzig. "I don't know if I will play, but I feel good."
Assani Lukimya meanwhile is nearing his return. "Everything is going according to plan. Tomorrow I will be able to return to team training," said the 27-year-old. "I missed one and a half sessions with my adductor problems. That's not optimal in a training camp. I wish that hadn't happened," said Lukimya. Richard Strebinger also likely wasn't looking forward to having to sit out. "He got hurt in a challenge and will miss the next couple days," said head coach Robin Dutt.
