Werder are back in Bremen. After two weeks of training camp on Norderney and Zillertal, head coach Thomas Schaaf's team completed a training session against Monday afternoon on the grounds at Weser Stadium.

Also on hand was Cimo Röcker, who suffered from an ankle injury for four months and was not able to travel to the training camp. The youth player ran some laps with athletic training Reinhard Schnittker while the team worked on tactical drills and conditional training. "I actually can do everything again but I should get back into it slowly. Sometimes it pulls a bit and my legs are heavy. But it's getting better," said Röcker after the session and had big hopes of training with the professionals in 14 days. "I can travel to the training camp in Donaeschingen. Until then I should be 100 percent fit," said Röcker. At the moment, Röcker is completing individual running drills and light training with the ball.

Mehmet Ekici and Predrag Stevanovic meanwhile missed Monday's session. Both Werder players left the training camp in Zillertal with injuries. "Mehmet Ekici continues to have hip problems and cannot yet train with the team," said team coach Götz Dimanski. It's unclear when the Green-Whites playmaker will be able to return. "We will see step-by-step that Memo can return to the pitch quickly," said Schaaf.
