There is good news along the Weser as Aaron Hunt and Santiago Garcia trained again with the team Friday afternoon. While Garcia had worked out individually on the pitch alongside the team, Hunt returned for the first time. Head coach Robin Dutt would not say at the official press conference if the two players would be available on Sunday against Frankfurt.
"I would be happy first if both were to signal to me after training that they are theoretically available. Today is the first training attempt with the team. We have to wait for the session. After that we can talk to them about it and judge the situation again," Dutt said before the afternoon training.
Shortly before the start of training, Garcia said: "I don't have any more pain." But he added: "I will train with the team for the first time. I know just as little as the other players if I will play in Frankfurt. The coach will make that decision."
Clemens Fritz will make the decision himself - just like before the Gladbach match. "Clemens will decide if he's ready or not. If he says he is fit and believes he can play, then the team captain will naturally be on the game squad," said Dutt.
The team will train one more time Saturday ahead of the Sunday match against Frankfurt.
