Neither Franco Di Santo nor Ludovic Obraniak were fit enough to participate in the DFB-Cup game away to FV Illertissen last Sunday, but on Tuesday, the attacking duo were back in full team training.
On Monday, head-coach Robin Dutt was confident that he would have the odd additional option available to him for the Bundesliga opener at the weekend - which could well be the case for Di Santo, who had been sidelined with a knee ligament strain, and also Obraniak, who had muscular problems. Both were involved in full team training over the entire duration of the session on Tuesday: "So far it's all OK. The next training sessions will confirm as to whether it will be good enough for the Berlin game," stated Di Santo. On Tuesday, defender Sebastian Prödl worked individually on making his comeback.
On Wednesday, the Werder players will have a break. The next session is set for Thursday, 21.08.2014 at 3:30pm. The session will not be open to the public.
