The minor injuries have healed and the Austrians are fit again. After a two-day break for both players, Zlatko Junuzovic and Sebastian Prödl returned to team training on Tuesday. The pair went through the complete trainings in the morning after afternoon.
Strangely enough, both Austrian internationals fell victim to the same injury during the Gladbach match. Head coach Robin Dutt held both Junuzovic and Prödl out of team training for two days after they had received knocks on their leg.
Werder captain Clemens Fritz emphasised during a mixed zone session between the sessions just how important Prödl was for the team. "Basti is an extremely important player for us. He sacrifices himself for defence, pushes them and helps move the team forward. He also did a good job leading the team against Gladbach," said Fritz about Prödl.
The good thing for Fritz and Co. is that Dutt will have the services of both Austrians for the next training session on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
