Tuesday's training sessions marked the start of preparations for the match at Bayern Munich. After the individual morning workouts in the weight room, head coach Robin Dutt welcomed nearly the entire team for the second session in the afternoon.
Zlatko Junuzovic and Sebastian Prödl got back from their national team break on the off day Monday with two victories for Austria. "Of course the victories against Moldova and Montenegro give us some confidence," said Prödl about the success. Now he said it's a matter of "bringing this momentum into the league for the coming tasks."
The two Austrians weren't the only ones putting their Green-Whites jerseys back on for the first session of the week. The previously banged-up top scorer Franco Di Santo (muscular problems) was also on the pitch as well as keeper Raphael Wolf, who had fully recovered from his back problems.
Other than the long-time injured players Bargfrede, Gebre Selassie, von Haacke und Yildirim, the spectators were also missing out on Izet Hajrovic and Raif Husic. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international Hajrovic was on his way back to Bremen after being subbed in late against Wales and not playing against Belgium. The youth keeper Husic still has a showdown against Austria on Tuesday with the German U19 national team.
