Werder's final training of the week is done and head coach Robin Dutt has a full choice of players for the home match on Saturday against VfB Stuttgart. Santiago Garcia is the only player not available to the Werder coach as he works on selecting his 18-man roster.

"I have a tough choice. A selection like this is very comforting from a sports point of view. From an emotional point of view of course it's not easy because everyone is giving their all but not everyone can play," said Dutt at the official press conference on Thursday.

Give everything you have - that was the motto of the players at the final training. That's because everyone is aware that a strong performance in training could make the difference for Dutt to make the game roster or even the starting line-up. Does the in-team competition add even more motivation? According to Werder centre back Sebastian Prödl, the answer is a clear "Yes".

"At the moment we have an enormous competition within the team. Everybody wants to be on the pitch on Saturday so everybody is really battling hard," said Prödl about the week of training.

But Dutt would not disclose at Friday's closed training session which players have the advantage of making the roster. Every player is starting from zero and they will see Saturday at 3:30 p.m. which 18 players Dutt chose.
