Sunday didn't just see an easy run down for Werder's players but instead a good one-hour long intensive training match - ordered by Green-Whites coach Robin Dutt a day after their 3-0 loss in Mainz. Philipp Bargfrede did not participate on Sunday as he was dealing with muscle problems from the Saturday match.

"Nothing serious," said the midfielder, giving the all-clear. Ideally, Bargfrede would be back at team training on Monday at 3 p.m. at Weser Stadium. Aleksandar Ignjovski also was not on hand on Sunday after missing the Mainz match with stomach muscle problems.

After a three-week break, Felix Kroos was also back on the training grounds. After recovering from his knee capsule injury, Kroos completed an individual program with athletics coach Reinhard Schnittker. It's unclear when the 23-year-old will be able to work out with his teammates again.
