It's Freimarkt (Free Market) time! The fifth season is right around the corner in Bremen. In two days, Bremen's traditional folk's festival will open its gates for the 976th time, and Werder's players will also be on hand with a team night on Monday 24 October 2011. "We are looking forward to this team night. It's nice, the mood has always been great. All told a fun time," said Werder captain Clemens Fritz after the Wednesday afternoon session on 12 October 2011.

This traditional team night will - as opposed to training on Wednesday - take place with the full team. Other than Claudio Pizarro, all of the Green-Whites internationals had returned and some trained individually. One who did not was Sokratis, who did not make it back to Bremen until late Wednesday night. And Pizarro is not expected back until Thursday night.

Werder internationals Tim Wiese and Mehmet Ekici took part in training from the first to the last minute. "I hardly slept and am beat up, even though I didn't really play. I would like to use the rest of the day to relax," said Ekici, who did not play a single minute in Turkey's two games against Germany (3-1 loss) or Azerbaijan (1-0 win). "We had to leave out a number of players therefore we could not all train together. But I also see that positively. Many of us were able to collect international experience, many even won," said Ekici.
